Clean-Up Progress - Week 9

Let's be honest...I haven't done much lately. It's a miracle I can even keep the dishes clean and clothes washed. It's a GREAT day if I get to put the clean laundry away. I managed to get all the trash out to the curb tonight by myself, started a load of dishes in the dishwasher, and wiped down the countertops. So, that's success in my book for a Monday.

So, I don't have anything to mark off my list this week. I figured there would be weeks like this and that's okay! I'm not upset. The floor desperately needs to be vacuumed, but LMW has recently gotten scared of the vacuum cleaner (loud noises upset him...he panics whenever I set up the ironing board because it squeaks loudly) so I don't like to do it if he's in the living room with me. So, I haven't done it lately. I still haven't got my steam mop set up yet (well, MK was supposed to do this but hasn't gotten around to it yet) so no progress on that weekly goal.

On a personal note, I came across a 30-day challenge on encouraging your husband.  I signed up. Since the baby arrived, MK's and my relationship is a little different. We're still trying to get used to the fact that it's no longer just him and me (meaning, I have another person I have to look after, not just him) and sometimes our tempers get the best of us. So, I'm going to try not to say anything negative to him or about him for the next month. I already started tonight. I didn't get all gushy and tell him how much I appreciate him, but I kept my attitude in check and tried to be as positive as possible, which isn't always the case with me. I tend to be a Negative Nelly but tonight I made an effort not to be and we didn't see floating hearts or anything, but the atmosphere was much more pleasant. I think this is a good thing. He doesn't really read my blog anymore, so he doesn't even know I'm doing this challenge. I may tell him later but for now, I want to see if he notices. :P

I guess there really isn't much to say here, so I'll just let it be. Maybe next week I'll have more to report.
