9 Months

LMW turned 9 months last week. I can't believe how time has flown. He is so much fun right now and has so  much energy. He wears me out! I haven't really posted anything lately other than my clean-up progress and a few photos because I just don't have the brain power. In the past month has has been doing the following:

Pulling up on EVERY.THING. All he wants to do is stand up. He lets go, not realizing he can't walk and plops down on his booty. He has bruises on his knees. When he wakes up and I go into his room to get him up, he's always standing up in his crib at the end, just waiting for me. It's so cute.

Eating more textured foods. He's finally starting to eat thicker, chunkier foods like Stage 3 oatmeal and fruit. Still has problems with cooked carrots (not the baby food puree but real carrots) but I'm wondering if he just doesn't like the taste. He eats puffs, pieces of mashed up banana and avocado, and pieces of toast and cheese. He loves when I share my yogurt with him.

Making an "old man" face. We have NO IDEA where he came up with this new face of his, but it is SO funny. Mom and Dad came over the other night and we laughed until we cried. He made this face every time Dad turned the firetruck on and it started playing its song.

Crying every time I leave the room. Separation anxiety is at its peak right now and he even cries if I leave him with MK and go to the bathroom.

Waking up a lot. Over the past week, he's had problems staying asleep at night. He goes right back to sleep if I rock or pat him and give him back his pacifier but one night he woke up probably 6 different times. He did better last night, thank goodness. I think he's going through a growth spurt too because he's been drinking a ton of milk.

"Talking." When he stands up at the end of his crib, he can see me in the bathroom getting ready. One day I heard him babbling and eventually looked back at him and he was "talking" to me and gave me the biggest, cheekiest grin when our eyes met. He had apparently been trying to get my attention. So sweet. He will also squeal real loud and then I squeal and then he squeals over and over. He tries to copy my sound and pitch.

He does a lot of other stuff too but there's too much to list. He pulls my hair when I bend over him. He laughs if I mess with his feet. He uses his index finger and finds the smallest, tiniest pieces of trash on the rug. It is so much fun watching him learn and grow every day. I don't know how much he weighs yet because we had to reschedule his well baby visit due to the snow last week.

Here's a video of my dad pushing him on the firetruck and his old man face. The quality isn't that great so it doesn't look as funny in the video as it was in person.
